SEROLOGICAL TESTS,TUBERCULOSIS,WHO,NATIONAL LABORATORY COMMITTEE

Despite not being recommended by any international guideline, commercial serological tests (which detect antibodies in the blood developed in response to infections) are often used in the market. These tests are marketed as a means to determine whether someone has been exposed to a particular pathogen, such as the virus causing COVID-19. However, their accuracy, reliability, and clinical utility are often questioned, as they may not provide definitive answers about immunity or the ability to transmit the virus. It’s important to consult healthcare professionals for appropriate testing and diagnosis, rather than relying solely on commercial serological tests.
