#EATING #FAST #FOOD CAN CAUSE #LIVER #DAMAGE
Eating fast food can cause liver damage. Quoting a Swedish study by Dr. Lars Johansson, researchers found that a diet high in processed foods, especially those rich in trans fats and added sugars, can lead to fatty liver disease. This condition, also known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), occurs when fat builds up in the liver cells, impairing the liver’s ability to function properly. Over time, excessive consumption of fast food can increase the risk of liver inflammation, fibrosis, and even cirrhosis. The study highlights the importance of adopting a balanced diet that includes fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins to protect liver health. Reducing fast food intake can significantly lower the risk of liver damage and improve overall well-being.
