Neck Artery Wall Thickness and Plaque Area(DIAGNOSIS MADE BY CAROTID DOPLER) – a new test to diagnose early heart diseases

Treadmill, Stress Echocardiography, Thallium and Angiography
Treadmill, stress echocardiography, Thallium and Angiography do not detect early blockages. Treadmill can miss blockages up to 70%; stress echocardiography and Thallium may miss up to 50%. Even Angiography only detects major lumen narrowing and may not identify minor plaques which can still rupture and cause heart attacks. These tests are more effective for assessing severe and flow-limiting blockages, not early disease. Hence, a combination of lifestyle changes, preventive care, and advanced diagnostic tools are essential for early detection and management.
